Your First Appointment

Compassionate and personalised care to support you on your treatment journey

For most women who make an appointment to see me, it’s the first time they’ll meet with a gynaecologist or a gynaecological oncologist. You might be feeling anxious and have questions.

Let me share what your first appointment will look like to ease any concerns and to help you know what to expect. If you have any other questions after reading this information, please ring 02 9134 5853 to speak to our friendly receptionist or email [email protected].

Urgent Appointments

We make it a priority to see you as soon as possible, especially when your situation is urgent. Our aim is to offer urgent appointments within 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the nature of the referral.

Once a treatment plan has been agreed on, we aim to schedule your surgery within 1 to 3 weeks, based on urgency and availability of operating time.

Online Health Questionnaire

Before attending your appointment, we’d like you to complete an online Health Questionnaire. This questionnaire will give us the information we need to understand your journey so far and your reasons for seeing me. I’ll familiarise myself with your medical history and current situation before you arrive at your first appointment.

What to bring

Please bring your referral and any relevant test results with you to the appointment. You’re more than welcome to have a family member, friend or support person come with you. It can be overwhelming to hear information about your likely diagnosis and anticipated treatment journey, so having someone you trust with you can make all the difference.
